What happens after 12 months

Service carries on monthly at the standard rate, so your child is never cut off by surprise. You can cancel at any time and the device stays yours.

When the year starts

On the day you activate the device in the app. Not when you order and not when it ships, so no prepaid time runs out while it is on its way.

Compared with Lifetime Pro

Lifetime Pro costs a little more once and then never bills again, so the longer you use it, the further ahead Lifetime Pro is. The shop shows the month it overtakes this plan.

Questions before you order

When will it arrive?
Devices ship in early 2027. Our Kickstarter backers receive the first batch, and orders from this shop go out straight after them, in the order they were placed. Shipping is free to the United States and Canada.
Monthly, 1 Year Plan or Lifetime Pro: which should I choose?
It is the same device and the same app either way. Monthly costs less today and then US$14.99 a month for the service that keeps it connected. Monthly billing starts only when you activate your device in the app, not when you order or when it ships. There is no contract: if you stop, the device stays yours and service pauses after a 30 day grace period. Lifetime Pro is one payment (US$299 at the early price) that covers the service for the life of the device, so if you expect to use it for more than about a year, Lifetime costs less. 1 Year Plan sits between them: the device and its first 12 months of service in one payment. After the 12 months it carries on monthly at the standard rate, unless you cancel. The device stays yours either way.
What if something goes wrong? Can I get a refund?
Try it for 30 days. Not for you? Send it back for a refund. The 30 days start when your device is delivered. You pay the return shipping. When it arrives back in good condition with its cable, we refund what you paid, minus the payment processing fee, to your original payment method. Monthly service already used is not refunded. Changed your mind? Cancel any time before your device ships for a full refund, minus the payment processing fee. If it arrives faulty or damaged, tell us within 30 days of delivery and we replace it free. Every device has a one year warranty against defects. If we ever cannot ship your order, you get a full refund. Read the warranty.
Does it listen to my child?
No. It never listens and it never records. It shares location and nothing else, so it raises no recording question at school. Location is encrypted, only the people you invite can see it, and we never sell or share it. You can delete your data from the app at any time.
Does it work in Canada and the United States?
Yes, across both countries. It has its own SIM built in, so there is no phone plan to buy and no roaming fees. It works anywhere with cell coverage, no WiFi needed.
How long does the battery last?
Up to 4 days on a charge, depending on use, so most families charge it about twice a week. It charges over USB-C, and the app shows the battery level.
