May 2025: The idea
After learning nearly half of autistic children wander, and that families pay up to $780 USD a year to track them, we started building.
6 months of listening
Talked with 100+ families about wandering, elopement, and what existing trackers get wrong.
Manufacturing partner secured
Partnered with JIMI IoT, which ships over 1.7 million tracking devices a year.
Certification path locked
Working with Nemko, an accredited certification body. Our FCC, ISED and CE certifications are in process.
August 4 to September 3, 2026: Kickstarter
The campaign ran and closed, funded. Late pledge pricing runs until we ship.
October 2026: Production begins
First production run starts with our manufacturing partner.
February 2027: StepSafe ships to backers
Priority delivery to Kickstarter backers in the first batch.
